Tapestries suspend from a Hanging Rod that fits through a sleeve on the top edge. The Hanging Rod is cradled at both ends by brackets mounted on your wall. Tapestry Tassels are often draped from the rod at both sides of the tapestry for an added accent.
Some wall tapestries are sold with a mahogany-stained wooden hanging rod included. For Tapestries marked "Hanging Rod sold separately," you may select from the eighteen rich and beautiful finished-metal designs we offer. All metal rods include Finials, which are handsome sculpted fittings to cover the ends of the rod.
Wall Tapestries sold with wooden rod may be upgraded by purchasing one of the more elaborate metal hanging rods. All metal rods include a set of hanging brackets. All Metal hanging rods are adjustable in length. The two dimensions provided are the minimum and maximum length, not width and height as usual.
Which rods and tassels are appropriate?
Most hanging rod styles are offered in two sizes. Tassels are offered in three size - 5", 9", and 11" lengths. A range of colors is available for each length.
Generally, only one of the offered sizes is appropriate to a particular tapestry.
Tapestries of height less than 44” use 5” Tassels
Tapestries of height 44” to 62” use 9” Tassels
Tapestries of height over 62” use 11” Tassels
